My initial plan was to write about how I moved all my blog posts to Substack and how this would be my main platform for everything, but... well, this failed phenomenally.
Substack doesn't have good code highlighting — something very important for those who read code.
So, for now, this will be my main writing platform, and if I post something on my personal blog, I’ll let you know here — there’s no need for you to search for my content elsewhere.
🏠🚀🛀
I just moved apartments.
Those who follow my Instagram account might already know this — others might not — but I had electrical problems in my last apartment, leaving me without the possibility to take showers. Yes, I washed with the good and old “heat the water in the kitchen and drop it in my head as a container.”
I even had showers at my job or at some friend’s house.
This issue is solved: I moved to a new flat, which is closer to the office, bigger, and with a nicer kitchen. But, as always, nothing is great for the middle-class white man. There’s always something to bother and get in the way of happiness.
The problem at the moment is the absence of stuff. I was living in a furnished temporary apartment, and now I moved to an empty one, so I was living without anything to sit on (except my bed) until Wednesday, when I carried an office chair for about 1km around Pasing, Munich.
My money is running out, and I still have a shitload of stuff to buy. Follow more of my misadventures on my personal Instagram.

I started watching the new Lord of the Rings series, The Rings of Power. I’m a fan of Tolkien and will reread The Silmarillion without shame: the hype is here, and I welcome it. Unlike the nerdolas (a perfect word for those annoying nerds around the internet), I have absolute pleasure when adaptations have creative freedom and change or improve the original work.
I was interested in watching The Rings of Power. Knowing the nerdolas are angry, I’m much more interested.

Different from The Lord of The Rings trilogy, which is long and boring (sorry), I continue with my quest of reading everything Sir Terry Pratchett ever published. I just finished Men at Arms, the second book on The Watch series and the 15th Pratchett of the year.
What a great adventure, really. It’s not my favorite — Pyramids — but it’s close to it, tied in the 2nd or 3rd place. The characters are charismatic, and their interactions make the not-so-great plot come to life. Detritus and his cooler-needing silicon brain made me laugh hard and true.
One philosophical question that came up: Man at Arms tells a story of men (and troll, dwarf, and, er, woman) in the Night Watch — basically, police. Is it a type of copaganda? 🤔
I still recommend Pratchett to everyone who wants to escape reality for a while.

I’m living somewhat of a dream life. This Tuesday, I watched the band She Wants Revenge for the second time — 12 years after my first experience, in 2010 — and I had a lukewarm experience.
They continue doing great songs, and it’s marvelous to be able to sing, together with the crowd, all those sexy, energetic, and pulsating songs. Have you ever read one of my favorite articles about the spiritual experience of seeing bands live?
There were some problems that got me out of the spirit. The venue's sound was shit — I couldn’t hear some instruments in some songs, and, in others, I could only hear them. Also, there were moments when the band looked like they didn’t rehearse properly — missed chords, wrong beats, everyone looking around like, “oh shit, and now, chorus again?”
This could be a great example of improvisation and band coherence, doing whatever shit they wanted at any time, but that was not the case. The concert could’ve been a 10/10, but it was a straight 7.
Tomorrow I’m going to have two experiences for the first time: I will see Four Stroke Baron, a band I like very much that I have never seen live before, and I will go to a concert by another band they’ll open for. I never went to a concert to watch the opening band exclusively.

My last longer text didn’t have any comments or feedback, so I don’t know if it was liked but not interesting enough to have anything written below it or if it was boring and not interesting. I’d love to know your thoughts about this newsletter.
What was the last concert you saw? Have you ever read Terry Pratchett? And The Silmarillion? How many times did you move apartments?
Thanks for reading and see you next week :)
